I vote no for boats. Just me. You know I will have a good time anywhere, but if we are discussing and expressing opinions, I think a hotel/banquet thing like the Cedar Bluff Holiday Inn may be better, since people may want to stay in a hotel anyway. I know it isn't that creative...

What about Townsend, etc.? I am sure it is way too expensive, but one place I saw was Riverstone. This would be so awesome for people who wanted to bring their families for the weekend...I don't know. Let me know what you guys think about the idea of somewhere/something like this. Of course they are all probably booked for the next 10 years anyway!
